A new URL for the collection
The world's largest grocery list collection has a new home at grocerylists.org! We'll be implementing some neat new features over the next few weeks months, including a reborn groceries/lists/collecting weblog. So now instead of being completely useless, this site will be *almost* completely useless. Just kidding. It will be cool. And as I mentioned, there is a HUGE update in progress. Hundreds of new lists! So please excuse any layout/presentation problems as we rebuild the site.

Online grocery shopping article in Wired
Wired News: Online Grocery Shopping, Take Two | "After the spectacular crashes of big-name Internet grocers in the late 1990s, the dream of a grand new wave of online food stores appeared to fizzle. But with intentionally meager fanfare, grocers have made Internet shopping available to tens of millions of consumers nationwide, and upcoming expansions will expand it to millions more. Industry watchers say it's no longer a question of whether Internet grocery can be successful, but rather of how big it will become."
Cool, except for one big problem: No grocery lists to discard at the store!!!

Nokia camera phones for grocery shopping
From picturephoning.com: "Following yesterday's post in Textually, on how 'RFID plus mobile phones is an idea whose time has come,' well it is coming, to Finland, according to Food Production Daily." ... "It looks like Finland Consumers with special dietary needs could benefit from a barcode and mobile camera phone system that communicates product information, according to researchers in Finland. Potential uses of RFID technology are also being investigated."
